We will be having our BR407 meeting a week from today on Friday (12/18/2009) at the Altamonte Mall around 5:30-6:00 PM as usual. Maps and directions are on the site.
I have been working on an article with fellow member inph3rn0 on random number generation so we may discuss that a bit at the meeting. I also put together a short presentation about "SMiShing" that I will give as well. Be there by 7 if you want to see the presentation.
I also invited some new people to the meeting so hopefully they will show up and bring friends. If there are any other people reading this who are new to the meeting, this is a good one to attend with other new people. All are welcome.
This is a reminder that BR407 has its own official IRC channel and network at IRC.BINREV.NET so hop on and idle with the rest of us.
THIS IS THE LAST MEETING THAT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SEE MY FULL WH4FRO!!! I will will be shaving my head for charity over the Christmas break so this is your last chance to see it in all of its glory...as it were. ;) Also, please donate as a show of support for the EFF. They do great work and every little bit helps.
I usually show up for the Friday meetings around 5:15-5:30 and sit towards the front of the food court so that I can easily be found with my laptop and BR shirt. You do not have to come that early! We have many people who are not able to make it until after work so you are welcome to stroll in anytime that you feel like it! Most people show up around 6 PM and we do not start any presentations until 6 at the earliest. You may miss a few things, but you are still welcome to show up for as long as you can. There is not set schedule or timeline and people are welcome to come and go as they please.
Other than that, we always have our ongoing general content... |

I was traveling a lot the past few months and had to cancel last months meeting. I have not seen a few of you guys in a while so I look forward to seeing everyone again so hopefully everyone can make it.
I have quite a few things to talk about this month...
I renewed my CEH certification...I think. Thanks to Defcon and HOPE and Hacker Public Radio for the CE points!
I took some pictures of an open Fios box while up in NYC. They were at night, so the pictures aren't great, but when we went back the next day in the daylight, the box was locked back up. I also have a few other pictures that I took while in NYC that we can look at and discuss.

NOTE: The October BR407 meeting is canceled!
I am out of town all week and will not be back in time for the meeting this month. I usually have someone else administer the meeting in my absence, but it looks like everyone has conflicts this month so we are going to take the month off. |
